Within a short drive, you can explore remarkable historic sites such as the Royal Château of Amboise and the famous Château of Chenonceau, as well as the Clos Lucé, known as Leonardo da Vinci’s last residence.

Less than 30 minutes away
The city of Tours, located just 21 km from the campsite, offers a rich cultural experience. Visitors can discover Saint-Gatien Cathedral, the Château of Tours, the Charlemagne Tower and the Basilica of Saint Martin. The historic centre, especially Place Plumereau with its half-timbered houses, is particularly lively, and the Loire riverbanks are perfect for enjoying summer evenings.

Courçay is just 5 km away, while the village of Louroux, known for its priory and ponds, is located 14 km away. Chédigny, often referred to as a “garden village”, is famous for its Rose Festival held at the end of May, and Beaulieu-lès-Loches, 22 km away, is also well worth a visit.
Swimming
Although the campsite does not have its own swimming pool, there are several places nearby where you can enjoy swimming during your stay. The municipal pool in Veigné is located just 8 km away, while natural swimming spots such as the beach in Bléré and the lake at Chemillé-sur-Indrois offer great alternatives during the summer.

Nature activities

Local specialities
After a day of exploring, take time to enjoy the local gastronomy. The famous Cormery macarons are a must-try. These small golden ring-shaped biscuits, both soft and slightly crisp, are made with almond powder, sugar and egg whites.
You can find them just a short walk from the campsite at the local bakery “Aux vrais macarons de Cormery”.

Pour les amoureux de balades pédestres plusieurs randonnées sont accessibles à proximité du camping (balades autour de l’abbaye de Cormery, entre rivières, châteaux et moulins à Esvres-sur-Indre, le Pont Gaultier à Sorigny, le Bourdin à Saint-Branchs, les Jonchères à Veigné…) sinon le chemin de Saint-Martin ou le GR46 sont aussi des parcours traversant notre commune ou un peu plus loin la route de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle.

Pour les passionnés de cyclo-tourisme, l’Indre à vélo (Itinéraire de la Cyclo Bohème) passant devant le camping, permet de faire des virées sur la journée soit en direction de Loches en passant par les villages de Courçay, Reignac-sur-Indre, Azay-sur-Indre, Chambourg-sur Indre ou encore en direction du Château d’Azay-le-Rideau 34km en passant par les villages d’Esvres, Veigné et son arboretum, Montbazon et sa forteresse, Monts, ou encore Saché à 27km pour faire une visite au musée Balzac.

For hiking enthusiasts, several walking routes are accessible near the campsite. You can enjoy a peaceful walk around the abbey in Cormery or explore trails in Esvres-sur-Indre, Sorigny, Saint-Branchs and Veigné, each offering a different landscape between rivers, castles and countryside.
The GR46 long-distance hiking trail passes directly in front of the campsite, and part of the Camino de Santiago (Way of St James) runs nearby, connecting Veigné to Sorigny.
